Zoo Buddies

Can you waddle like a penguin, howl like a wolf, or run like a cheetah? An exciting animal adventure awaits 3 – 5 year-olds and their adult guests! Through the use of short stories and hands-on activities, we will make connections with some amazing creatures. Participants will get to take home their very own Zoo Buddy plush animal after class.

Pajama Party with Santa

Santa is coming to Scovill Zoo! Bring your pillow, wear your PJ’s, and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus while you make an ornament, decorate cookies, enjoy an animal presentation, and sing some holiday tunes. Must be accompanied by an adult.

Critter Tales

Kids aged 5 – 6 can join Scovill Zoo’s “book club”! Each week, a new animal will be covered, and participants will add a new story to their home library. 90-minute sessions will include animal encounters and hands-on activities. A new session will be offered in summer 2018.

Zoo Kids

Our world maintains its balance in many ways. This summer, youth aged 7 & 8 will experience how different aspects of earth, air, fire and water affect different ecosystems. A new session will be offered in summer 2018!

Zoo Camp

Are there wasps in the cookies? What animal eats the most fish? Zoo Camp explores how agriculture and nature work together to put food on the table. A new session will be offered in summer 2018!

Zoo Crew

Zoo Crew is declaring war! Participants aged 11 – 13 will take control of their world to save it from habitat loss and extinction in a game of Conservation Domination! A new session will be offered in summer 2018!

Zoo Teens I

If you’re interested in a career involving animals, Zoo Teens I is a fun, educational way to learn more. Recommendation letter and volunteer hours are required. Applications are due by May 8. Download a Zoo Teens I application.

Zoo Teens II

If you want to take the next step towards a career at the zoo, sign up for Zoo Teens II! Get hands-on experience caring for animals and educating the public, while working as part of the animal care team. Completion of Zoo Teens I is strongly recommended but not required. Recommendation letters and volunteer hours are required. Applications are due by May 8. Download a Zoo Teens II application.

Zoo Safari
