Rabbits have great hearing (have you noticed their big ears?). Rabbits’ eyes are positioned on either side of their heads giving them nearly 360 degrees of vision. Rabbits are good runners, too. Some species can reach speeds up to 35 miles per hour. Lagomorphs (the scientific Order name) are the most hunted of all animals. They are food for predators and birds as well as humans. They are also able to reproduce very successfully. Some species of female rabbits can even get pregnant while carrying a litter. We use our rabbit ambassadors for our mobile zoo programs.
